1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the PawStar application and website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PawStar is a social media platform for pet owners and pet-related businesses. Users can create pet profiles, upload photos, vote on pets, leave comments, and participate in monthly competitions. Advertisers can list their businesses to reach pet owners.

3. Account Types & Registration

PawStar offers three account types:

• Free Account — Available by invite code only. Limited to 10 total free accounts. Includes voting, commenting, and leaderboard access.
• Pet Owner ($4.99/year) — Includes all free features plus pet profile creation, photo uploads, and Pet of the Month eligibility.
• Advertiser ($10.99/year) — Includes business profile listing, category placement, and contact information display.

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed through RevenueCat and the applicable app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions renew automatically on an annual basis unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload (photos, comments, profile information). By uploading content, you grant PawStar a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Service.

• You must only upload content you own or have rights to use.
• Content must not be illegal, harmful, abusive, or violate the rights of others.
• PawStar reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms.

6. Voting & Competitions

The Pet of the Month feature is based on community votes. PawStar reserves the right to disqualify entries that involve fraudulent voting, manipulation, or violations of these terms. Decisions regarding competitions are final.

7. Advertiser Responsibilities

Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy of their business information. PawStar does not endorse or guarantee any products or services advertised on the platform. Misleading or fraudulent business listings will be removed.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to manipulate votes or game the system
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Interfere with the operation of the Service
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission

9. Termination

PawStar may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. PawStar does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PawStar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

PawStar may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes.
